- Pull this piece of hair through the stitch braid.
- Keep repeating step 3 and 4 for other 8-9 stitches so that you can see a short waterfall braid.
- Pin the end of the braid underneath the hair at the back head to finish off the look.
[4] Elsa’s coronation bun
Is your girl is a fan of Disney’s movie Frozen? If so, then she will surely go crazy with this hairdo. This Frozen-inspired hairstyle is actually a French twisted side bun, which the queen Elsa wore for her coronation. This hairstyle may look complicated to do but it can actually be done in a matter of minutes before sending your little lady off to school. Dreaming to become a princess is the dream of every little girl, so why don’t you make your little girl’s dream come true?
What you need
- Sectioning clip
- Rattail comb
- Hair elastic
- Bobby pins
- Ribbon
- Hairspray
How to do
- Part your little girl’s hair to one side.
- Use the tail the rat comb to create a horizontal partition from the section of hair near one ear to another ear.
- Separate the rest of the hair at the back of her head with a sectioning clip.
- From one end of the obtained partition of hair above, pick up a medium-sized section of hair and divide it into two smaller strands.
- Start French twisting these two sections by flipping one strand over another and adding more hair from the partition into the twisted braid as you go (look at the picture).
- Continue to twisting the braid until you reach her ear and you’ve run out of hair to add, temporarily secure it with a hair elastic.
- Use a ribbon to hide the elastic.
- Now you have two sections of hair, one is the original remaining hair and one is the hair strand you just worked with. Twist these two sections and wrap them into a side bun under the French twisted braid.
- Use several bobby pins to secure the bun into your kid’s head.
- Apply some hairspray to set the updo in place.
