A Full Lace Wig Definition

Full lace wigs are hand-tied, and a thin lace is sewn on top of the cap. Individual hair is then attached to the thin lace. You need to cut a hairline around your entire head and superfluous lace part. By doing so, once done you can wear any hairstyle you like even ponytails, up-dos, etc. Once finishing application, you will have on a full hair wig but the front, back, and sides of the hair wig will not be like a regular wig.

This is the most standard type of wig. This wig is one of the easiest to find and wear. It also comes in the most variety of styles and colors. By knowing the differences amongst these types of wigs, you can get a better idea of how to make a wig which is best for you.

Another important factor to take into consideration when making one is the type of hair extensions to use. Depending on the kind of hair you chose the price of making your wig will significantly vary. Synthetic hair is the cheapest type of hair and comes in potent colors. The downside of synthetic hair is that it usually lasts for a few months.

Human hair is the next expensive, and it is more durable than synthetic hair. Another name of human hair is virgin hair that is the most durable of all hair. Unlike synthetic hair and human hair, both heat and color can be applied with no damage. Virgin hair can also be reused for years making it more expensive due to the quality. We highly recommend a virgin if you want to achieve an everlasting wig.

The full lace wigs are entirely different from the lace front wigs; these wigs are made on a full cap with both front and back lace to give you a natural front and back hairline. When using the full lace wig you will have numerous styling options. Like the front lace wigs, the full lace wigs are long-lasting compared to other conventional wigs that are made from natural human hair.

Step 2

  • Trim the unnecessary lace of the full lace wig. This only needs to be done at the first time of application and it does not need to be done if the lace has already been trimmed by the manufacturer.
  • Put the wig on your head. Then use hair clips to fasten the wig hair back away from your scalp line. Trim any lace that sticks out past the wig hairline using a pair of sharp scissors.
  • Cut small amounts of lace at a time to avoid accidentally cutting too much. Be careful not to cut any of the wig hair. Leave 1 inch of lace sticking out past the wig hairline.

Step 3

Clean the skin by your hairline with a cotton ball dampened with Isopropyl alcohol to remove body oils that could prevent the wig adhesive from sticking properly.

Step 4

Apply scalp protector to the skin by your hairline. This only is necessary if you have sensitive skin.

Step 5

  • Use wig tape to attach to the edges of the full lace wig. The tape is applied to the edges of the lace around the underside of the human hair wig. Use a cotton swab to apply a thin layer of wig adhesive to your scalp.
  • Let the wig adhesive natural dry for the length of time recommended on the label directions.

Step 7

Position the full lace wig on your head. Part the hair on the wig to find the front-center of the wig. Parting the hair will reveal the hairline. The middle of the wig hairline should line up with the middle of your forehead at your hairline. Press down on the edges of the wig for five minutes to make the adhesive stick to your skin.
